Manager - Market Intelligence in Supply Chain Group

Opportunity Highlights
This position will report within the supply chain and procurement team though the responsibilities will follow traditional market intelligence. The incumbent will analyze and present supplier market and performance management data and metrics to help optimize market sector strategies. The role will also establish, manage and continually improve the mechanisms by which contract management is undertaken, in order to drive improvements in supplier performance and relationship management within the Well Services Sector. The individual will be accountable for the development of market information in support of the market sector management organization.

Responsibilities
• Establishes mechanisms for contract management, referring to industry best practice and continually seeking improvement in these mechanisms
• Establishes standard forms of contract (including terms and conditions and clauses)
• Works with project managers to ensure requirements are clearly specified
• Advises on, or facilitates the processes by which potential suppliers are considered and compared
• Is focused on strategic cost management by seeking contracts with the lowest “Total Cost of Ownership”
• Works within Sector Directorate, in selecting suppliers to create and influence enhanced sector management outcomes
• Advises on, or facilitates the processes by which contracts are created and concluded and placed with suppliers
• Facilitates regular reviews with teams to monitor the performance of suppliers against their commitments on deliverables, timescales/milestones, team performance, cost, quality and customer satisfaction
• Determines the appropriate timing of such review meetings, at regular intervals or to coincide with the delivery of scheduled milestones
• Establishes and maintains score-cards which assess suppliers on the basis of performance, and makes these measures available to members of the team and other stakeholders, for consideration in the placing of future contracts
• Leads the auditing of contracts to ensure compliance, and performs root cause analysis of issues as required
• Consults with legal specialists to ensure contracts are legal and ethical, and do not put at risk intellectual assets/property
Qualifications/Requirements
• Requires basic knowledge of market sector strategy development & application, demand management, and materials management
• Demonstrates basic application of sourcing
• Demonstrates skillful application of supply chain risk management, supplier performance management, project management skills
• Demonstrates mastery of negotiating and influencing strategy, and financial skills
• Demonstrates expertise in contract execution and management
• Sponsors and collaborates on developing internal & external relationships
• Relevant professional training, development and affiliation, commercial experience
