The incumbent will help lead the development, sourcing and implementation of the Global Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) Strategy for a Fortune 500 Leader. With high corporate visibility, the successful candidate will work with a cross-functional team and business units to develop the strategy and sourcing delivery. Upon success of implementation, the responsibilities will include managing contracts, developing supplier relationships and conducting Supplier Performance Management (SPM) with all suppliers. Additionally, this role provides support to the sector manager as needed to establish vision, set strategic direction and manage resources effectively to support, and develop and execute value added business plans.

Responsibilities


- Provide Procurement & Supply Chain Management (PSCM) expertise in support of the various MRO product lines and their global supply base and distribution network. Product lines include, but are not limited to piping and valves, electrical supplies, gaskets and mechanical seals

- Support the development of the Global Contracting Strategy, including analysis of spend data, demand planning, market intelligence, external supplier and competitor analysis, development of options, market approach, negotiations, supplier evaluations, contract implementation and compliance reporting, supplier performance management and relationship management

- Understand the regional and global business requirements for the MRO product lines and provide support to the Strategic Performance Units (SPU’s) in implementation of the overall strategy, including training and ongoing coaching on related work processes and tools

- Manage global performance data for all MRO suppliers and distributors

- Routinely communicate openly and with integrity with key business stakeholders to align direction between PSCM and the internal customers

- Drive and support compliance to standards

- Minimize risk and cost exposure

- Identify and leverage opportunities presented by prevailing opportunities in the marketplace

- Conduct effective ''strategic cost management'' utilizing best in class methods (e.g. should cost) and tools (e.g. e auctions)

- Support Safety and Operational Integrity through effective Supplier Quality Management

- Exhibit behaviors that demonstrate inclusiveness and integration across the wider PSCM function

- Develop and implement MRO contract related processes and templates across multiple geographies to ensure delivery of strategy

Qualifications/Requirements


- Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer

- Four year degree and / or professional qualification

- Five to 10 years of PSCM experience

-Extensive experience with Piping, Valves, Fittings and related

- Extensive knowledge of MRO contracting strategies, including Global Supply network

- Knowledge of and experience in sector strategy development, sourcing and implementation

- Excellent communications skills

Senior Specialist - Procurement – Component Parts

Responsibilities

In addition to those listed above,

• Support development of Market Sector & Sub-Strategies
• Take part in negotiations on Global Framework Agreements terms & conditions with contractors
• Data gathering for the day-to-day relationship management of key contractors via the SPM (Supplier performance Management) and SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) process and coordinate GBR’s (Global Business reviews) as part of this process
• Support Major Projects and Operations in their use of agreements through interpretation of the commercial agreements and communication of contractor’s project management, execution and after market service capabilities to deliver the best value
• Support Procurement & SCM (PSCM) Value Plan Process and track PSCM Value delivery
• Support commercial interventions with contractors, as necessary
• Assist in development a life cycle cost model to assess TCO (total cost of operations), as necessary, and facilitate the model’s use in evaluations
• Provide Procurement & SCM expertise in support of P&E strategy work, including demand planning in addition, market intelligence, external supplier and competitor analysis, development of options, market approach and negotiations, supplier evaluations, contract implementation, SPM and SRM
• Assist in developing SPU feedback process to capture lessons learned and continuously improve; focus on collating and analyzing Business Unit performance data
• Assist and help resolve issues or disputes between contractors, Client Project Teams and Operations
• Focus on providing contracting support to the Business Units in addition to the strategy work
• Collaborate with PSCM Specialist peers in Business Unit teams
• Apply and champion PSCMcp and contribute to continuous improvement of the common process
• Facilitate and participate in cross Business unit networks

Qualifications/Requirements

• Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer
• Minimum of a Four year / Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain
• Strong oil and gas experience
• 5-6 year experience in Procurement and Supplier/Customer interface
• Tendering, negotiations, contract development and execution strategy experience
• Highly competent working with legal language and adept at identifying & resolving key issues
• Demonstrated ability to tactfully and diplomatically challenge the status quo and influence change across a wide breadth of projects and at all management levels
• Strong team focus and the skills to work across disciplines, cultures and business unit teams in various locations

The candidate should have had a management level role in business with purchasing experience and must demonstrate competence in leadership and communication.



Exposure to disciplines such as Total Quality Management, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Toyota Production System, DFSS, or Demand Flow Technology is a plus.



A bachelor degree in a relevant field such as business administration, supply chain,

operations, engineering.

He or she ideally will have project management skills that include the establishment of a global procurement system.



The candidate must demonstrate competence in being able to sustain delivery over a long term period.



Experience with companies practicing Lean and with a reputable Supply Chain is preferred.
